Chiropractor Spotlight: 15 Fun Facts About Dr. David Ravdin

It is important to know, like, and trust the people in charge of your care and quality of life. That includes getting a peek behind the curtain at what their lives are like outside the office. With that in mind, we thought it would be cool to go beyond the typical bio on our website and dive deeper into the fun, passionate, and faith-filled life of our own, Dr. David Ravdin.

Our practice members, staff, and pretty much everyone in the community have come to know and love Dr. David. But there’s still so much more left to learn about the man behind the neurologically-based chiropractic care you’ve come to rely on.

Fun Facts About Dr. David You Might Not Know

  1. Dr. David was born and raised in Coral Springs, Florida.

  2. Growing up, Dr. David was a big baseball player and still is a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.

  3. Dr. David has a voracious appetite for learning. He has acquired specializations in exercise physiology, personal training, nutrition, pediatric chiropractic, Webster’s maternal care, and the Orthospinology Upper Cervical technique. More recently, Dr. David earned his Certificate of Proficiency in Pediatric and Family Neurologically-Based Chiropractic Care.

  4. Speaking of voracious appetites, Dr. David’s favorite meal is chicken tenders and french fries. But they have to be the “extra crispy” kind. He cycles between Layne’s and Raising Cane's and isn’t shy about driving 30 minutes out of his way to feed his hunger for tenders. For dessert, nothing beats a bowl of ice cream.

  5. What won’t Dr. David eat? Pretty much anything squishy or slimy (mushrooms, oysters, scallops, etc.). If you ever invite him over for dinner, these are not the things you want to offer him. Oddly enough, he does like sushi.

  6. Dr. David is (almost) deathly afraid of birds. He also isn’t into cats unless he’s confident they are friendly.

  7. Dr. David’s primary passion is to know Jesus and to make Him known. His highest desire is to care for people so that they might see Jesus’ love and compassion for them. When he was in chiropractic school at Life University, he started what turned out to be a very popular Bible study at the college called “Life Bible Study.”

  8. He is quite the traveler. He lived in Spain for a few months during college and did the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona during that time. Funny story … he was fresh off recovering from a broken leg when he did it.

  9. Speaking of traveling, he is not very good at navigating mountains. While backpacking through the Swiss Alps, he got turned around and nearly lost in the mountains. He got lost again while backpacking on Blood Mountain on the Appalachian Trail. By the time he realized it and tried to turn back, it was too dark. Needless to say, he had to sleep on a hammock overnight in 40-degree weather. Ironically, he’s really good at directions when traveling by car.

  10.  After graduating from college, he visited Thailand and Hong Kong to get certified in scuba diving.

  11.  Wrapping up the traveling niche: Dr. David and his wife, Stephanie, love to travel together and at least one trip a year, they go on missions overseas.

  12.  Dr. David was really into ping-pong as a kid and even competed in an official tournament.

  13.  Dr. David rescued his lovable dog Max from a shelter in Chicago where his sister worked. Max was just 8 weeks old then, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

  14.  Dr. David and Stephanie love watching Chip and Joanna Gaines’ show, Fixer Upper. He also loves watching YouTube golfers and has really gotten into playing golf in recent months. He’s currently in search of a new set of clubs.

  15.  Last but not least, Dr. David has some OCD tendencies like many of us do. In his case, he has to check the locks on the office door twice before he leaves for the night. He also checks the locks on his house twice before going to bed each night.
